How the lists are chosen
Each list states one rule and applies it to every entry. A list of free games includes a game only when its Steam store page offers a free account. A list of upcoming games includes a title only when the publisher or a major outlet has announced it.
Facts that can change, such as prices, release dates and server status, carry the date they were checked, which for this edition is 30 October 2026. A later change does not make the sentence false, because the sentence says as of that date.
The site sells nothing and links to no private servers or download mirrors. Where a game has a running official release, the link goes to the publisher's page or its Steam store page.

Steam facts come from each game's store page, read on 30 October 2026. Upcoming-game dates are as of that day and can change.
What the lists leave out
Each list states what it leaves out. Private servers, download mirrors and gambling content appear nowhere, and a game with a running official release links to the publisher or its Steam page, never to a copy.
Dates move. MeinMMO reported on 15 August 2026 that ArcheAge Chronicles would reach Steam early access in the fourth quarter, and by late October its Steam page carried the day, 3 November; PCGamesN reported on 9 February 2026 that Soulframe had no date and would not arrive before 2027. A list entry that carries such a date says so with the check date, and the next edition replaces it.
The lists also point back to the archive. Four of the seven archive games have a Steam release today, and the similarity lists use them as yardsticks: Atlantica Online for turn-based play, WonderKing for the 2D side-scroller and DarkEden for the isometric view. The 2D MMORPGs hub, the Korean MMORPGs hub, the old MMORPGs hub and the dead MMOs hub sort the same games by layout, developer, age and status, so a pick on one list often has a record on another.

Questions about the lists

A game stays out unless a published report supports every dated fact about it.
Can a game pay to be on a list?

Where do I start?
Pick the list closest to the game you already like, such as games like MapleStory or games like Atlantica Online and WonderKing.
Do the lists cover games that have shut down?
No. They cover games with a running release or a dated announcement. Closed games are in the dead MMOs hub.
Are upcoming release dates final?
No. Each date is as of 30 October 2026 and comes from the publisher or a named outlet, and publishers can move it.
